After qualifying from Bangalore Medical College, Dr. Rashmi Adiga earned a D.C.H (Post Graduate Diploma in Child Health) at the Institute of Child Health, Madras, and obtained a CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in paediatrics with a special interest in child neurology, following her training in the Eastern Deanery, United Kingdom. She subsequently worked in the U.K. as a consultant in community paediatrics, focusing on neurodevelopmental issues. Following this, she was a fellow in paediatric neurology at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, where she completed modules in the BPNA distance learning course in paediatric neurology and the ICNA basic paediatric EEG course. Dr. Rashmi Adiga then served as a consultant in paediatrics and led paediatric neurology and epilepsy management services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn, as well as neurodevelopmental paediatrics at Norfolk Community Health and Care, before relocating to Bangalore. She was also the University of Cambridge Senior Clinical Tutor, leading the placement of Cambridge Medical students in paediatrics . She was an active member of the Eastern Paediatric Epilepsy Network. During this time, she held the role of honorary visiting specialist in paediatric neurology at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.
After relocating to Bangalore, she gained substantial experience in tropical paediatric neurology, managing children with neurological problems in outpatient clinics and addressing both simple and complex paediatric neurological issues in both PICU and NICU while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Dr. Rashmi Adiga was a member of the organizing team and scientific committee that successfully organized the AOCN (Association of Child Neurology) annual conference in Bengaluru and has been a faculty member at local, national, and international conferences.
She has recently completed the NESSAN (National Epilepsy Surgery Support Activity Network) e-EEG course and successfully passed the exit examination. She was awarded the first prize for the best poster at the AOCCN conference.
Currently, she is faculty for the British Paediatric Neurology Association's Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET1) courses and Paediatric EEG Basics for paediatricians (PEBP) workshops.
Dr Rashmi Adiga is committed to evidence-based clinical care and has authored local clinical guidelines, contributed articles for journals, and written chapters in textbooks. She also serves as faculty for the BPNA distance learning course in paediatric neurology and has contributed to the Neuroimmunology chapter. Additionally, she is a reviewer for manuscripts in the Karnataka Paediatric Journal (KPJ), Journal of Paediatric Neurosciences, and Annals of Indian Academy of Neurology. She has been elected to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and has also been appointed as an MRCPCH examiner.

Dr. Rashmi Adiga has diligently developed her clinical and non-clinical skills in managing developmental disorders and complex paediatric neurological cases. She enjoys working with children and their families, finding effective ways to collaborate with them to make the best possible clinical decisions for each child.
Her clinical experience encompasses managing children and adolescents with:
- Seizures and epilepsy, including complex epilepsy and ketogenic diet management
- Newborn neurological problems

- Acute paediatric neurological issues in PICU/NICU (stroke, neuro-immunology, seizures in children, CNS infections, etc.)

Dr. Rashmi Adiga is currently a member of the Association of Paediatric Neurology (AOPN, a subchapter of IAP), International Child Neurology Association (ICNA), Association of Child Neurology India (AOCN India), British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA), The Asian and Oceanian Child Neurology Association (AOCNA), and the European Paediatric Neurological Society (EPNS).
